Four building blocks, three years of guidance

  • Water and irrigation

It starts with water investigations. Growing and livestock begin only once there is enough water capacity.

  • Knowledge and training

Producing food, tracking costs and income, selling, and healthy eating: varied, safely prepared and wise about salt, sugar and fat.

  • Interest-free microcredit in kind

Seeds, livestock and beehives for vegetables, poultry, goats and bees. Repaid credit stays in a community fund for new participants.

  • The Community Shop

Selling together makes healthy, varied food more available and affordable in Mutonguni and the surrounding area.

Two sisters, one grandmother and a promise to pass opportunities on

Vivian was twelve and Valentine eight when they moved to the Netherlands. Their grandmother's values came with them. Now they are returning to pass on what they received.
