New: help 30 women in Mutonguni build food and income.
Ndinda Foundation

Economic development

Skills training, small-business support and sustainable farming for self-reliance and income.

Our mission

We promote inclusive economic development by giving women and young people the knowledge and resources to become financially independent. From farming and beekeeping to market stalls and soap making, we lay the foundation for growth and resilience in communities.

What we do

  • Microcredit and start-up support

Small loans for women and young people to generate income, for example through tailoring, farming, beekeeping or soap making.

  • Business training

Hands-on training in entrepreneurship, bookkeeping, product development, customer service and business planning.

  • Mentoring and coaching

New entrepreneurs are paired with an experienced local mentor for guidance and motivation.

  • Market access

We help small businesses reach markets, form cooperatives and sell online.

  • Vocational training

Practical training in sustainable farming, beekeeping and other skills that fit the local economy.

Creating opportunity, building independence

Economic independence is essential to break the cycle of poverty. Many women and young people in Kenya have the ideas and ambition to support their families, but lack finance, skills or guidance.

What we work towards

  • Women starting and growing their own businesses
  • Young people with valuable skills for the local economy
  • Families with new, stable sources of income
  • Stronger communities through grassroots economic development
