WASH Program (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene)

What We Do

Clean Drinking Water

We install boreholes, rainwater harvesting systems, and filtration units to ensure reliable access to safe drinking water.

Sanitation Facilities

We build and improve latrines in schools, villages, and clinics, with special attention to girl-friendly and safe sanitation.

Hygiene Education

We provide training on handwashing, menstrual hygiene, and safe water practices through schools, healthcare facilities, women's groups, and local volunteers.

Community Engagement

We train local teams to manage and maintain their own W.A.S.H. infrastructure, ensuring long-term sustainability and impact.

Saving lives through clean water, safe sanitation, and hygiene education

At Ndinda Foundation, we believe that access to clean water, proper sanitation, and basic hygiene is not a luxury — it's a human right. Every year, preventable diseases related to unsafe water and poor sanitation claim the lives of more than 70,000 people in Kenya, many of them young children. Diarrheal diseases, cholera, typhoid, and parasitic infections remain a leading cause of death in vulnerable communities.

Our W.A.S.H. program delivers sustainable solutions that save lives, improve public health, and strengthen communities

Our Impact

  • Reduction of waterborne diseases like diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid
  • Improved child survival and school attendance
  • Safer, more dignified environments for women and girls
  • Empowered communities with the tools to care for their own future

Your support helps turn dreams into action — Let's build a cleaner, safer, and healthier future.
